Do I need an account, a subscription or a connection?
None of the three. Gaby is a one-time purchase with no in-app purchases. It ships with everything it needs, so it works in aeroplane mode, abroad, with no roaming and no sign-up.
Does it download anything on first launch?
No. Earlier versions downloaded a large AI language model on first launch — that is gone. The current version ships all its content inside the app and makes no network requests at all.
Is the Spanish AI-generated?
No. Every Spanish sentence and every correction is written by a person and fixed at release. There is no model in the app and no inference of any kind, so nothing can invent a wrong answer.
What if I say it right and it doesn't accept me?
Matching is deliberately generous — a missing accent or a different word order passes, because being understood is the real-world win. If a specific answer consistently won't pass, that's a bug worth reporting.
What level should I be at to start?
Beginners start at Guided, where both languages are on screen and you tap. If you already have some Spanish, go straight to Practice or Real on any situation — the levels are yours to pick, not unlocked in order.
Is there an Android or iPad version?
Gaby is built for iPhone and also runs on iPad. There is no Android version, and it is not verified for macOS.
